Originally constructed in 1870 in the High Victorian Gothic style, this Grade II-listed landmark, formerly known as Poplar Town Hall, has been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel featuring 37 bespoke rooms, a spa, a restaurant, meeting spaces, and leisure facilities.
Carefully restored, the building maintains its original polychromatic brickwork, Portland stone detailing, and grand staircase illuminated by an authentic Victorian rooflight. At night, concealed LED lighting accentuates the architectural features while minimising energy consumption.
The penthouse suite, situated within the 11-metre-high dome of the octagonal tower, features a cantilevered oak-and-glass staircase that leads to a mezzanine bathing retreat. Guests throughout the hotel experience a harmonious blend of historic elegance and modern comfort.
