Located within the London 2012 Olympic Park, this redevelopment of a 17th-century public house harmonises heritage conservation with the modern, connected rear building showcasing cutting-edge hospitality design. The West Bridge Hotel now boasts 81 en-suite rooms, a restaurant, a gym, meeting spaces, and a sauna.
The project preserved original Anglo-Saxon architectural elements while incorporating sustainable enhancements, such as advanced insulation, acoustic walls and floors, smart lighting, a rainwater harvesting system, and solar panels on the roof.
Honouring its history, CMT Construction restored the building’s traditional character while ensuring it meets 21st-century hospitality standards. The project was nominated for the English Heritage Award in recognition of its excellence in conservation and design.
